Elon Musk’s Boring Company is expanding the Vegas Loop tunnel system from a small-scale transportation solution to a comprehensive, city-wide network to ease Las Vegas’ notorious traffic congestion. Using autonomous electric vehicles in underground tunnels, the project aims to provide a faster, more efficient way to travel. Although there’s much excitement around it, there’s also skepticism concerning its ambitious timelines, safety, and actual capacity. It does, however, represent a new step in urban transportation solutions, potentially revolutionizing how people move around in densely populated areas. Who’s paying for this? Taxpayers are off the hook as casinos float the station cost and Boring finances the tunnels.
