Threads vs. Twitter
Meta’s Threads app gained massive traction since its launch, with 2 million signups in the first 2 hours and 30 million by the next morning. As a result, Threads is now the fastest downloaded app, surpassing ChatGPT. The Twitter clone is filling the void for users seeking an alternative platform amidst Twitter’s challenging times. However, it lacks key features like DMs and a chronological feed. Deleting your account also takes your Instagram with it. Long-term user retention remains uncertain. Ultimately, users will benefit from the competition between Threads and Twitter, driving innovation and creation of new features to capture attention.

Apple’s Road Ahead
Apple’s secretive “Project Titan” automotive venture has been a wild ride of speculation and shifting plans. It went from an Apple-branded car to an infotainment system and now back to a fully autonomous vehicle. Reports suggest a potential launch in 2026, with a steering wheel and less emphasis on autonomy. Apple’s continued development and patent filings hint at sleek designs characteristic of the brand, spatial audio within the headrest and car doors, AR/VR tech, and innovative sunroof concepts. While the mystery remains, it signals that the future of transportation could be more exciting and tech-driven than we ever imagined.

Made in Space
SpaceX has successfully launched Varda Space Industries’ “space factory” - a floating manufacturing facility in orbit. Designed to produce goods in microgravity, the initial focus is on pharmaceuticals. The idea was inspired by pharma giant Merck, which found that its cancer drug Keytruda became more stable when crystallized in microgravity. The factory’s ability to autonomously manufacture and return products to Earth highlights not only what is being made but also the significance of where and how it’s being made. This venture could redefine commerce and shape the future of automation and logistics.
